Coated cars still get dirty
Road film, dust, bugs, minerals, and soap residue still land on the paint. We prewash, hand wash, rinse, and dry the car with the existing coating in mind. That means clean tools and products that aren't going to bury it under waxy residue.
Once the car is clean, we check how the surface feels and how the water behaves. That gives us a better idea of what the coating is doing than judging it while it is covered in grime.
We won't fake healthy beading
A topper can make water bead even when the coating underneath is weak. If we use a maintenance product, we'll tell you what it is. We won't use that short-term behavior to pretend the original coating is brand new again.
